Latinpass promo update!
Hi all Millionmilers
My email to Latinpass has been answered.
Here's what I wrote to them
Dear Latinpass
I am writing with a couple of Latinpass queries. I would be very grateful I you could clarify these queries for me.
1. I have been examining your KLM awards at your website. I noted that you have a KLM award within "Australia and Pacific" for 30,000 miles. Does this mean that I could get a ticket from Sydney to Hong Kong return for 30,000 Latinpass miles?
2. I have also been examining your million miles promotion. I am considering flying to Central America to participate in this promotion. I am unclear about one point though -
Your website says that to accrue the 1,000,000 miles one must do the following
"One Million-Miles Bonus Will be earned by any member who flies at least one international segment on each of the ten (10) LatinPass member airlines. Flies at least three (3) segments on any of our partner airlines (KLM, US AIRWAYS and TWA). Stays at least three (3) nights in at least any two of our partner hotels and rents a car for at least five (5) days from any of our Car Rental partners, FROM JANUARY 1, TO JULY 1, 2000."
With respect to the 3 segments on KLM Usairways OR TWA, can these segments be domestic US segments or must they be international segments. The wording above does not state whether they must be international or domestic.
Thanking you
Peter Berrett
And here is the reply that I was sent:
Dear Mr.Berrett:
1. Yes, you could flight from Sydney to Hong Kong with 30,000 miles from
Latin Pass.
2. The segments with the partner airline could be domestic or international.
Thank You,
Latin Pass
I think that makes the bonus a whole lot easier to get. Still it would not hurt for someone to contact Latinpass and confirm this email reply I have received. I can reply on it should a dispute arise - you may not be able to.
cheers Peter

With regard to KLM, TWA, and US Air - does anyone know if there are booking class restrictions? I would hate to run into the OneWorld issue again with ineligible fare tickets.
