TRIP.COM - Miles
Check out the Trip.com site if you are booking tickets. (No, this isn't an ad. Due to some rather unusual legal wording in their Rules & Regulations, I don't feel comfortable listing anything here. You'll see the special promo.)

If trip.com wants to bust you for promoting your product to an audience of people who would most likely use their services, they are stupid.
PS - MileKing is talking about a promotion for 3 miles per dollar you spend at trip.com on tickets.

3 bonus miles per dollar spent doesn't really get beneficial unless you are purchasing a full fare coach ticket or international. For advanced purchase coach tickets, it doesn't add up.
Here's my logic. Spend $300 for a cheapie ticket and earn a bonus of 900 miles. Purchase that same ticket through the airline website and earn a minimum of 1,000 bonus miles that will probably post sooner.

Yes, MileageAddict, for any tickets under $333 this doesn't make sense since most airlines are still awarding 1000 miles for each on-line ticket booking. However, if you are purchasing tickets only a few weeks (2-4) in advance, I find it rather difficult to get fares under $333. And other than special weekend e-savers, where can you land a price like that for coast-to-coast trips?

I just bought a $1400 ticket and a $950 ticket... hmm could have been 4200 miles and 2850... oh well..next time
