It's just that I find it is easy to forget to pay a bill (even though I have it all on an Excel sheet). Had a late payment. Recently almost had another late payment!

Hey, any tips on keeping on top of all the credit-card/loan/internet/utility/etc. bills??
1) do keep spread sheets
2) pay everything all the time on time or way early
3) repeat #2
4) only float what you are prepared to float
5)only risk what you are prepared to lose
6) learn the rules of things like the FDIC, Atty General, small claims courts in your state...
7) never lose

MSing makes you better with finances and teaches you such things

I won't go if I have more than a four hour connecting time (unless I'm overnighting at a hotel). I go absolutely stir crazy if the wait exceeds four hours and I have to wander around an airport.

6 & 7 don't come into play at, shall we say, half-marathon levels. ^^ to the rest. I manage around 40 credit cards for my wife and I and spend about 15 minutes once a week checking and paying them. All are paid early and often, usually before the statement posts.

One thing lacking: attention to detail and a followup to manage and pay.

You could be a millionaire, swear off credit cards, and forget to pay your water bill and you would be without water in due time....

^ Agreed.

I don't even know where that happens and happily don't care to know!

Anything for points.

Oh I would do anything for points.

I would do anything for points.

...but I won't do that.
