Wikis are available for anyone with sufficient posts and time on the site to update.

Interesting news regarding Capital One Aspire Travel cards. Starting this month, we will officially be able to redeem our miles without tiers, or minimum redemption. We will also be able to partially redeem towards large expenses (e.g. 15000 for $150 off a $200 charge). This is great news!

Great news, if we have something to confirm also...

I don't see any letter/email or nothing online

For the RBC Westjet card; you can get a 99$ round trip companion ticket.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it can be used as an open jaw

XXX-YYY ZZZ-XXX?

If true about the new Cap One Aspire reward schedule, that is great news, especially the redeem only part of an amount.

The information should be updated during this month. Agent told me that they would not proactively disclose this information to customers until October 6th.

Bit of a a noob question. I've been reading for many years and I was wondering if there is a consensus about whether applying for several credit cards on the same day only shows up as one inquiry or not. I remember reading about it but I don't remember any conclusive information. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Several credit cards from the same bank - could be one inquiry or several - YMMV.

Several credit cards from different banks - definitely several inquiries.

Credit inquiries do not significantly lower your credit score. Maybe a point or two. However, when the first statement generates and a new account is reported by the bank to credit bureau - then you get a significant hit to your credit score (can be 50 points for two or more new accounts), and it takes a while to restore it.

So we effectively have the US Capital One Venture...

good news though, and I'd be OK with losing ticket splitting and point transfers for that

For those of you who received a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite from this promotion, did you receive the 10,000 bonus miles? I'm referring to this promotion:

Not for this promotion (10k is standard), but this one says your account must be open for 90 days before miles can post.

What I am unsure about is how to apply for new MBNA cards but not increase my credit limit with MBNA (i.e., just spread out my existing credit with them). Their customer service is really bad over the phone.

Can I apply for, say, 2 new cards through GCR and then right away call to ask them not to give me additional credit?
