free 2000 miles from MCI

I just spoke to an MCI rep regarding my MCI-elta skymiles account. At the end of the call she asked if I have cell phone or an additional line. she said she would give 1000 miles each just for having no need to signup with MCI. Unfortunately I don't have either but though atleast some of of can benifit.

I donno if itsonly with Delta or if its with other airlines as well.

the number I called is 8002004007

Had you expressed interest she would have explained that you would have to switch ISP to MCI (@14.95/month for 100 hours) and cellular to Worldcom. That is something I was not prepared to do.

Okay, perhaps I'm dense today. Now what exactly is the promotion? What do you have to do to get the 2000 miles?

Thanks!

Well, the rep said she'd give 1000 miles for just having a cell phone and 1000 miles for just having a 2nd phone connection. No need to signup with MCI for thouse. Since I didn't have them I don't know if there is some thing else to be done.

And she didn't ask your cell phone or 2nd line phone numbers? Wow. That is generous of ol' MCI.

I wouldn't believe it until miles are posted. The MCI rep might have overstepped his/her authority to offer free miles. I had similar experience with under-tained rep. I didn't get the miles but rather a short apolopy from MCI later when I inquired about it...
