Status Match from A3

Hey all!

I was lucky enough to make the cut before Aegean changed their program in November, so now I'm a proud owner of a Gold Card with A3.

I'm now looking into Status matching, and my first attempt will be with Topbonus from Air Berlin, to get me into Oneworld. Should I try another one instead? I'm European and don't really travel in the US so I'm not sure it will work with an American Airline.

But my problem is Skyteam, as I can't seem to find a company that would give me a match. Any ideas/success stories?

As I said I'm Gold with A3 and travel very frequently but mostly in Europe.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, dungeonlurker. Have tweeted them as well, hopefully it will speed things up as I'm flying with DL on Friday.

TK to Air Berlin match

Requested a match from TK Elite, and received a Top Bonus Gold in less than a day.

Fantastic customer service. Have a few Oneworld flights coming up where I can use the elite access

Unfortunately the Twitter shortcut doesn't seem to work anymore.
DL tweeted me back yesterday that the requests would be processed in the order they are received and that they have a huge backlog...

Sorry to hear that... I suggest you try again if it hasn't been processed yet in a week or so. First time I messaged them, they said the same. Second time, they got it done in less than 2 minutes. Make sure to include your SkyMiles number, of course.

You get full SkyTeam benefits, with the exception of some SkyTeam partner lounges if they require a physical elite card since you will not be issued a physical elite card.

Will do, thanks. Did you tweet them or did you use Twitter's "Direct Message" feature?

First emailed 31 Mar, followed up 14 Apr. Didn't get a response to either email and I'm still Gulf Air Blue. I guess they don't want my business.

I have BA Silver sent to EMIRATES AND AIR CANADA. Emirates sent me said they will match the one below gold . but 3 months no reply sent too many emails still saying me to wait. AIR CANADA Hello,

I am pleased to confirm that we've matched your status to Altitude Elite 35K, which will entitle you to many privileges, such as Priority Airport and Reservation services, eUpgrade Credits, Star Alliance Silver recognition, and many more. Your status will become effective in our systems within 72 hours and you will be invited to choose your Select Privileges by logging in to altitude.aircanada.com.

Kindly note that we will not match your status again in the future. Going forward, you will be required to meet the published qualifying criteria in order to reach Air Canada Altitude status.

With kindest regards,
Air Canada Loyalty Marketing

emirates Thank you for your email regarding your Skywards tier status.

We do appreciate your choice to fly more frequently with Emirates, however we are unable to offer you the Skywards Gold on this occasion.

Emirates Skywards currently offers tier upgrades only to the next higher Tier. Your current Skywards tier is Blue, please let us know if you would like us to review your request for the Silver status.

Thank you for your understanding and support of Emirates.

Yours sincerely,
