It takes about a month to match, and another month to receive your card. So you should be patient !

I am still confused about this. If a flight has an AA flight number but on another carrier like MH, would that flight qualify for plat challenge? For example flight AA 7435 from KUL-LHR is operated by MH. So if I booked in the right fare class for that flight would the points qualify for plat challenge?

status match to Premier Platinum of United?
I am thinking to status match to Premier Platinum of United. During the 90-day status match period, can I take advantage all the benefits of Premier Platinum membership, even on pre-existing award reservations, for example cancelling a pre-existing award reservation for free? thanks.

Hi again,
the status match can be done once for each carrier, isn't it?
I mean, if I match with TK and after 2 years I don't qualify again for elite but I'm still Gold on A3, can I ask again for the match status or not?
Thanks

Correct, you can only match status once....but it doesn't hurt (or cost anything) to try....although I doubt you'll get it more than once

I have Delta Gold (with potential to push to Platinum in October, vs possibly rolling over lots of miles) and have a long trip coming up at New Years (DTW - CGK) on UA/ANA. I'm seeking input on 3 possibilities
1) Match to UA now (before the offer expires) and complete the challenge in October.
2) Hold out, and hope that UA re-offers in the fall, and then the miles from the New Years trip will complete the challenge.
3) Forget UA and match to TK now, since it seems to be good for 2 years. Is there an advantage for one program over the other?
Thanks!

Are you planning on using the accrued miles on UA for award travel or do you just want Star Alliance Gold or whatever status they're offering?
How valuable is your current and potential DL status?
TK is valuable as its good for 24 months, but redeeming the miles is kind of impossible in comparison so its just a case of getting the benefits of the status. UA on the other hand gives you the miles, the status and more opportunity to redeem
