What's the easiest ST program to match my *A Gold to? (I have both TK and NZ *AG).

Have UA silver and would like to match to Alaska. But I earned the Silver last year and this year have mostly flown on award tickets.
Looks like you have to fax AS your statement which will show very little mileage this year, will that be a problem for the match? |
I status matched to AS from AF/KL FB with zero miles that year and was ok.

Looking at Delta but it states: During the 90-day period, you will not have access to all reciprocal Medallion benefits with Delta's partner airlines, including access to SkyTeamŽ lounges. That seems strange to me,if status reflects ST elite plus .. would KLM refuse entry? |
I just received an email from AirBerlin offering me a status match/challenge to AB gold for four months. I replied right away to accept the offer. I happen to have an AA flight in two days. Any chance my AB will be updated by then? How long does it take to have the AB status reflected online? Will AA let me in to their lounge without the AB gold card?

My account still doesn't show the match/gold status but the lounge agent just asked me what status I had and I told her it was Gold and i gave her my ff#. She did a lot of typing in her computer but ultimately asked me nothing and let me in with two drink passes. Now that I'm in the lounge this is a bit of a let down. Nothing really here except some coffee and snacks. There's also a paid restaurant??! What's up with that??? Probably still worth being here for the peace and quiet.

I contacted Airberlin for status match yesterday and I got the email from them today. They will offer gold status for 4 months. I will try it.

I did a status match to UA (from AA). I have until 3/10/14 to fly 12.5k EQM in order to have my status extended until 2015. Is there any chance to have that deadline pushed back a week? I have a flight that I want to book, but the return is on 3/16/14.

Well, I must be one of the people Delta is trying to get rid of, having requalified PM in 2013 on only $1,177 on spending they counted. If they had counted partner tickets (AM, AF, KL) it would have put it in between silver and gold, but MM status has the silver part covered anyway.
So I either have to fly the miles AND spend at least $5K to get a higher status than what I have, or I might as well spend $0. So I'll be looking to see if there's someplace else to jump. I've spent about half my flying career at high elite levels on non-DL carriers (not easy if in ATL), but there are fewer choices now. |
