I sent a request for status match to the Avianca program and got an email saying that within 30 days of the end of the promotional period I will get status if I qualify (or at least that is what google translate says that it says).

hi! are there any status match offers to OW? don't live in Germany/Austra/Switzerland so i'm not eligible for airberlin's status match.

I have Qantas Gold expiring March 2016. I do not foresee much travel in 2016/17 and would like to match my Qantas Gold to some program that I can later use for future match to OW or ST.

Turkish is an option but would prefer to save that for future. Any other option for a match that can be later utilize for matching to OW or ST?

Most of my travel is within Asia / Europe.

Turkish officially only match One World Emerald which is Qantas Platinum.

I suuppose you should get Alitalia, then hopefully before that expires something else will pop up.

There have been some reports of TK matching AB gold, which is OWS.

AFAICT, it's very much email version of HUCA with them.

Any updates on how quickly they have been processing DL status matches

I was thinking of not utilizing the Alitalia match at this time since it is Skyteam and I might need ST status later and when needed I could try the match at that time. I am sure I will not be able to benefit from the Alitalia status for at least next 1 year as I do not see any ST flights coming up . Match at that time may or may not be available.

I was also thinking of Avianca Brazil or Air New Zealand provide they could be utilized for future matches into ST or OW.

What are your thoughts?

I would go for Avianca Brazil. I sent my request in earlier this month still waiting for an update but some people already have the status. Does Air New Zealand even match?

Air New Zealand do not have a campaign but I sent them an email and got reply that they match provided you show them that you will be able to qualify next year on your own travel.
In my case they might consider QF gold as a competitor.

My only worry is how good Avianca or Air NZ will be for future matches.

How long are current matches to TK good for?

2 years from the match date.
