Seriously? I can't see any airline caring about Elevate members.

Matching Aerolineas, I got the following response:

Le informamos que de acuerdo a su categoria American Airlines obtendra la categoria Aerolineas Plus Elite Platino de nuestro Programa . En la proxima segmentacion se lo otorgara la categoria mencionada y la tarjeta la recibira en el domicilio registrado en su cuenta.
Which I take to mean I need to fly a segment first?

OW matching UA 1K?

many of the flights I want are now on OW, or will be shortly. I am a Plat DL, 1K UA. what's the best status matching strategies for OW? and which airlines? US is still*A for at least the next 6 months.
EWR is my home airport.
Most flying is long haul international.

thanks

Obviously, I would contact AA first - here. It looks that they are still matching - look at the end of thread.

CX will match to Gold (only OW Sapphire), maybe more, but not sure if it is helpful in your case.

BA generally don't match, but if you ask your Travel agent, he may help...

I don't think it means you need to fly for it to be active. It states that your new status will be present on your next flight and that they will send your card out shortly.

A colleague of mine has the IB Plus Platinum, is there any status match he can do to get *A Gold ? He lives in the US and flies quite a lot to South America (mainly OW).

Thanks a lot!

Thank you! I'll have a look. Do US Airways, United or TAM have status matches ? Those would be the airlines flown, so it would me more interesting to join one of those FFP if they do.

The TK one seems to have finished a month or two ago, so may not have much luck there.

Looking for advice. I am a UA 1K. My new weekly route is FAT (home) to SEA (work)round trip for about the next 6 to 12 months. United routing is not as convenient or cost effective as Alaska Air. I researched Alaska's code share partners and I found American and Delta both code share with Alaska. I want to apply for a Status match on either Alaska, AA, or Delta, is there one that would be better to do than any other? Will the AA and US Air affect anything? What would you do?

Airline Status Match Master Thread: 2012

I'm currently NZ*G and looking for status matches. I tried emailing Flying Blue based on their recent promotion but got nowhere.

Not so concerned about SkyTeam (though it would be handy for China Southern and soon Garuda) - the thing I'm really looking for is a status match with OW so I can access Qantas lounges when I fly with them.

I've read through this thread but can't find any simple matches. Has anyone had any luck matching NZ*G (or equivalent) with an OW airline?
