Anyone here know how to get past the issue on UA Status Match challenger where it WILL NOT let you upload a BA Silver elite membership card as proof for the status match? Is there an email address we can use to raise this request?
The online system should match and approve immediately, but it wont accept the card screenshot or webpage from BA - even tho BA is listed as eligible..... Help me obi wan! |

BA is currently offering a status match for elites in USA and Canada programs. No cost! (well except for flights if you want to retain status past the initial period)

I had to use an OLD FORMAT version of the card snapshot for this to work - the upload would bounce otherwise. e.g. I got this to work by using a screenshot of the OLD FORMAT of the card on the app as it was pre March/April 2025 and it worked immediately - until then it bounced over and over. UA match is obviously not able to deal with the new BA layout which omits expiry date (why BA have done this? im not sure as surely lounges check that too). You'd need an old screenshot, or manufacture that layout - the details will be checked regardless so you cannot just fake them, supply the actuals - this will get you past the upload issue and it will get approved pretty much within minutes if it all checks out. Otherwise you'll get an email from their status team asking for more. Either way its gets you in the running. Hope this helps someone out – thanks for the comments! |

Thank you for bringing that status match to our attention. I and undoubtedly many others were able to take advantage of it and it allowed me 25 to 30 AA lounge visits during domestic AA flights which otherwise would not have been freely available to me during the six months of free status match. Anyone aware of a similar current oneworld status match which would allow for AA lounge access during domestic AA flight itineraries? Thank you. |
If anyone needs ST status, Vietnam Airlines currently has a 12 month match available. A match to Platinum/STE+ is $299. Gold/STE is about half that price, but I can't imagine many people wanting to pay for STE.
FYI, It took about four hours for my match to approved by statusmatch.com, and another 3.5 days for the status to show up on VN's website. I just wish they would add a flight from LAX, as SQ needs some competition for flights to SEA |

Wow. Great post. That's ridiculously cheap, although I'm still not sure I want to share my details.

Thankfully not, and I certainly hope to keep it that way.

Not terribly useful for most people, but if you find yourself in the undesirable position of flying with Frontier in the next eight months, they are apparently offering Gold status to anyone with a preexisting Southwest Rapid Rewards account. There is a $40 fee, but I assume that would pay for itself quickly with the free carry-on and seat selection.

My partner used his Turkish Airlines Elite status to match to Royal Jordanian Gold status (Oneworld sapphire). Paid $149, and the new status was reflected after 5 working days. With upcoming flights with CX and QR, this would be very helpful with lounge access ;)
