Buying tires - miles

Not sure if you're seeking deals at tirerack, or other places to get miles. I'll be buying from www.discounttire.com and they offer 4m/$ for AA--also other rewards for other airlines.
I like them because they just do tires. So when I go in I don't hear "oh we can also replace your brake pads" or some other upsell.

That tirerack deal seems pretty decent. I know this is a small subset of users, but for any Travelocity Amex holders, they offer (through Barclay Rewards Boost) 3.5 points per dollar, which translates to 7% bonus plus whatever your normal points accrual is (typically another 2-4% depending on the version of card you have).
Also to note on DiscountTire via redemption portal... I had a warranty claim on an old set of tires because they wore out before the mileage intended, so I didn't purchase online thinking that I would not get credit for the old tires. However, now figured out that you don't actually transact on DiscountTire. When you click through to purchase tires online, you schedule an appointment but never enter your credit card info, so theoretically you should be able to then show up at the store and handle any warranty credits while presumably still getting credit for the link-through.

I was looking for anyyy specials for tires. But discounts 4m/$ sounds good too. Just got more creative with my searches and Sears.com has 6 miles / $ on AA shopping now.
Not bad not bad. How does it work with Sears and their tires though? The website asks to call me to discuss the purchase and doesn't allow me to buy it online per se. Plus I can buy sears gift cards for about 8% off face value. So this can be uhh...
1 mile per $ @ cardpool. Then 6 mile per $ @ Sears. I am going to get 8% off the tires, and 7 miles per $ spent.

I bought a new set of tires from TireRack last year via the AA Shopping site and they shipped very fast. I would definitely use them again.
