One of the better resources for this: webflyer.com
Look into the mileage converter calculator.

Only if both have the HA credit card. The only other plan that will allow this is BA between family members, AFAIK. AMEX MR can be xferred to anyone's hotel or airline acct. (the few that AMEX allows that is).

I have been interested in a similar question (my question was which program allow transfers to another person other than a family member) and started to put something together. I only know if the following so far and don't have all the info for them--
1) Amex-- limited programs allowed--diff. transfer rates
2) Diner--some programs
3) Wyndham---AA,others??
4) Chase sapphire---
5) Flex points----
6) others-------?????

on the off chance that the person needs enough for a 2nd award & has enough for one, you could probably book the award and avoid any transfer loss....

From the HawaiianMiles FAQ:

"How can I share my miles with my friends and family?
Sign in to your HawaiianMiles account and click on "Share Miles" under "Manage". Please remember that you are only allowed to transfer your miles or Share Miles to an account that is a Hawaiian Airlines Visa cardholder. You are allowed up to 10 transactions during a calendar year."

The "to an account" has me wondering as well. I would seem that only one party has to have a card?

Only the transferee has to have the HA credit card. Anyone can transfer to him/her in that case.

SPG allows point transfers between spouses anytime. Marriott allows transfers between spouses only when you are ready to book an award. I believe both require a phone call and both spouses must be present.

Chase Ultimate Reward points can be transferred to anyone with a card enrolled in the Ultimate Rewards program. If you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Ink Bold card, you can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to anyone's United, Continental, BA, Korean, Hyatt, Marriott, Priority Club, or Amtrak account. You can do both types of transfers online.

One More

People can transfer Capital One Venture points 1:1 if they are on the same program. With the 100,000 match your miles program, my wife and I transferred between accounts a couple of times.

This came up in the grand slam.
Club Carlson and Best Western will allow you to transfer points.
Hilton allows transfer but it costs $25 for every 10k points. I think you can transfer HH points into any person's airline account for no fee but am not sure.
SPG will allow transfer between accounts which have shared the same address for more than 30 days.
Wyndham Rewards points can be transferred to any person's airline account.

With Virgin Atlantic you can transfer up to 120k Flying Club Miles per calendar year to other people's accounts. However account holders are restricted to receiving only 30k per year. Each transaction incurs a 15 charge.
