Need help on what to do with Skymiles and FlyingBlue miles

Hi all,

Currently I have around 13k Delta Skymiles and 2500 KLM flying miles. I really do not know how to do with these. I am hoping to be able to redeem these miles with hotel or car rentals for this Dec plan. I do not know if this is possible. If there is a way to use these miles efficiently, that would be really helpful. Thanks for your inputs. I really need help. Please!!

Thanks.

There is no way to redeem airline miles for anything else than tickets (in your case it is not enough) or gift cards. You can also apply for a Skymiles branded credit card (AmEx), and increase the number of miles you have, and then redeem it for a ticket (for yourself or someone else).

And, by the way reading program rules also helps.

Short answer? Nothing.

Try to save up for a bit more in both accounts- 50K in Flyingblue will get you round trip business class promo awards from Europe to US. Currently with your mileage balances you really can't get anything particularly useful.

Really? If the OP doesn't need them any more, s/he could donate them to charity.

DL: http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use_mi...iles/index.jsp - minimum 1,000 DL miles

FB: http://www.klm.com/travel/gb_en/flyi...tion/index.htm - minimum 3,000 FB miles

so the OP could use their DL miles usefully.

You can also redeem it for magazines - https://subscription.points.com/magazines.htm?lp=Delta.

Thanks.
There may be a lot of options at "SkyMiles Marketplace" including hotel and car rentals. Since each skymiles account may have different options, it is best to login and see what options you might have. Hope it helps.

Thanks all for replies. I asked this because with UA miles I can book hotel.
I also haven seen some hotel chains at KLM which do the redeem/conversion on miles. I have not gone through the process yet. Anyone here has experience on that? Thanks.

Economist subscription for 3200 DL miles is a great value.
