Perhaps -- and I emphasize the unlikeliness of this explanation -- the system is taking into account the fact that I haven't held a Chase UA card in over 2.5 years.

Does anyone know if I get the Chase United Explorer Business card now if that would prevent me from getting the personal Chase United Exploerer card in the future? I want 25k-30k miles within the next 1-2 months for a reward redemption and was thinking that if I get the business card I could get the needed miles and most likely still be able to get the personal Explorer card in the future.

Thoughts?

Hi friends! So, I'm getting a 40k offer as well. I've been looking through this thread a little; sorry if this has already been answered: Can we expect something better (than 40k) from UA soon? <3

The Frugal Travel Guy posted on his website that the public 60k United offer was postponed until the first quarter of 2012. United Elites can already access the offer.

I'd wait, no use in applying now when a 60k will come out sometime in the near future.

You can have both a business and personal version of the same card at the same time. You should be able to get the business United card now and the personal United card later. No guarantees, of course, as it will depend on your credit rating, number of accounts with Chase, length of time between applications, and perhaps your history with Chase (rumor is a few people have managed to get blacklisted by Chase for opening and closing too many accounts).

Personal and Business are always separated.

I am Silver on Continental (and my accounts are linked). I logged into my MP account and saw the 60K offer and applied.

got pending appln.called reconsider # for chase and said it has to be processed by computer automatically.. :( I never saw a card being approved directly but always get it approved :)

Seems like some elite get the 60k offer and others don't. When I log in I just see the 40k offer
