This is a good deal. But it ends tomorrow and the only way to get a kindle now to have it activated and receive the code would be to go to a bestbuy store today.

I'm going to jump the gun and get this. You have until Monday 11:59PM ET to get the code from the kindle. Once you have the code, you have until September 8th to use it. I wouldn't wait that long since this is such a good deal and amazon might pull it. Basically you're getting a macbook air/pro for cheaper and you get a kindle with it. =]

You need to purchase an Amazon Kindle with Special Offers edition and once you get it, you link it to your amazon account. You should see the offer in the Special Offers tab. But you need to buy it asap. Tomorrow night is the last night to get it. Don't buy it from amazon because it won't arrive in time. Go to a local Best Buy or Staples and get it.

The special 20% discount is unique to each kindle so only 1 per kindle. You have to ONLY buy the Special Offers Kindle, doesn't matter if it's Wifi or 3G. You can't buy the regular Kindle. Google "Amazon Kindle Special Offers 20% apple." You will find lots of info on it. Act quick because tomorrow is the last day and I don't think apple knows about this deal since it works on all the newest macs.

Some are older generation models. I think the newest one is this one.

Ugh

Ugh.

I saw the Amazon/Apple deal and my stomach turned over having just purchased a MacBook Air. Then I saw that Amazon doesn't have the new Air yet except through some book stores at above retail prices.

I can't complain. Got the $100 app store card, $100 off a printer and the whole thing was free with CapOne points. I would have traded the App Store card for the Kindle though.

I'll do something this fall when the new iPads come out. See if the reading improves on them. Even if not, I think the Kindle's days are numbered. Just so much more you can do with an iPad. I don't read in full sun anyway.

Quick Mac Question

Ok, so I'm looking to buy a Mac and am seriously considering getting the Kindle and getting the 20% discount through Amazon. My question is this: When shopping through Amazon, what is the best way to maximize miles? I have an AAdvantage card and a Chase Sapphire. Can I go through the American Airlines shopping portal and get extra miles? I've never shopped online through that. I know I'll get 1 mile for every dollar spent using my credit card, but want to maximize the way I do it.

Thanks.

I don't think American airlines has an Amazon portal to redeem for points. However I know United Airways has an Amazon portal that is 1 point per dollar. Hawaiian Airlines currently has a 2 miles per dollar promotion going on.
