Minimum Credit Score needed

Is it the same Minimum credit score needed for Bank Of America, Citi Bank and Amex? Which bank needs the highest score? Also, for instant approval online, is it just based on the Credit Score retrieved? If it is, what is the minimum credit score required for instant approval online?

Today, I received a letter from B of A for my approval for the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature. It gave me a score of 808 for Equifax.

Thanks in advance

Just did. Last time, someone from here recommended I post on creditboards forum...I did but can't find my post anywhere.

Hopefully someone will have an answer to my questions here.

Great News. I plan to apply for the Amex Premier Rewards Gold and SPG within a week.

Just want to make sure I can still bump up to 75k miles on AMex PRG

Your FICO score is only a part of what the banks look at. They also look at annual income, debts, age of credit history, etc. So I doubt anyone knows of a "minimum credit score" for approval. I'm guessing the banks don't even set a minimum number. Too many other variables.

808 is high enough

if u really wanna know look at credit boards card finder or they have a database where people say their credit scores and if they have been accepted or not. I think those things are stickied or somehow easily accessable. Its generally not public the exactly rubric companies use to do approvals.

There is really no "minimum score" that you MUST have. CC companies look at payment history, age of lines, your own age, annual income. There are a LOT of factors that go into their system of credit granting. It often helps that you do not have any bankruptcies, collections etc
