How does Amazon Payments work?

I've heard mention of Amazon Payments here and there but can't find a thread that explains it.
Could someone help this newbie out? Tyring to get started on my new Citi AAdvantage card to earn that wonderful 75k bonus.
Thanks!

My best advice would be to go to the site and explore a little

You can log in using an existing ID. I don't know of any thread here on flyertalk (that doesn't mean one doesn't exist though) however the topic popped up on milepoint a few times. I am sure you can search for it over there.

That said, here are a few tips to help get you started:
- When you send money to someone (spouse/friend/yourself) make sure you have $0 in your account, otherwise you won't be able to select your credit card to fund the transfer (it will just send the money you have in your account first)
- Don't exceed $1000 per month to avoid detection (if you are playing the amazon payment game with a spouse or someone who shares the same credit card number but with separate names on the cards, you can send each other $1000 each for a total of $2,000 monthly spend)
-Make sure you select the "goods and services" option when you send money to avoid any potential cash advance fees charged by the CC company
-I would also suggest sending money back and forth with a real person (friend/spouse) as there has been chatter of amazon cracking down on multiple accounts belonging to the same person if they find out about it

Why? Are you kidding me? A lot on the web doesn't mean you have to spread even more. The guy directed him to Google , that is good enough.

I would suggest you proceed carefully, Amazon is onto this and that is why most people think its a bad idea to openly post on forums. YOu may get banned for life if they find out

There has been plenty of discussion here as well. The only reason I posted as I did was to highlight the OP's lack of searching effort. I am sure that hulagrrl210's post will not be the reason for the demise of this program.

If this becomes non-existent in the near future, I will go crazy.

In trying to be respectful of suggestions I'm seeing al over flyer talk. Can someone PM me about the best way get the Amazon Payments system up and running in a way that would be advantageous for meeting card bonus spending requirements?

It's only a matter of time but when that happens it will be only in small part due to FT. This is all over the internet in blogs, forums, etc.

Again, this is all over the internet in blogs, forums, etc. Please search just a bit instead of asking to be spoon fed. Besides, nearly all you need to know has already been posted here.

Thanks Hulagirl for the good start.
LOL, "the good start"? You were told everything you need to know. I'm absolutely not one of these people in the "keep everything secret" camp, but this series of posts is inane.

My request stands for anyone willing to DM me any additional helpful info.
What do you mean, in plain English, by "my request stands"? Is this just a more obfuscated way of renewing your begging?

"My request stands" for anyone willing to PM me about arranging a transfer of 100K SPG points into my account
