New Continental Airlines Card - 40,000 Miles

Everywhere on Flyer Talk today, we see a link for the United Airlines OnePass card,

Chase also has the deal for the Continental Card. You get:

Up to 40,000 Miles and 1st Year Free. So if you prefer Continental instead of United, you can can sign up at continental.com

About the same as the new UA card. $25K spend required to get last 10K miles. Booo!

Pretty much.

These are cards are majorly inferior to the recent 50k offers without the ridiculous spend requirements that were recently available.

Glad I jumped on as many offers as I could.

Makes you wonder if we've seen the crest of the tide on these offers. The SPG, the Citi AA Executive World Elite, the United card, this card--all of them a little short given what might have been expected. I know these offers can go in cycles, and I think during this cycle, I'll be happy to stay on the sidelines with the possible exceptions of the Chase/Southwest (only because it's a bonus on first purchase) and SPG cards (since the spending requirement is much lower than the standard offer).

Yes another pass, not worth the credit pull with such high limits.
