Question Best Strategy to Convert Points?

I haven't transferred / converted points in sooo long, I really need your help. I presently have:

Air Miles: 1,827
Aeroplan; 1,305
Amex Air Miles: 100,000

For now, I'm just planning a short haul YVR to YEG in August but would like to build out my knowledge base for future trips.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

I assume you mean American Express Membership Rewards points earned with a card issued in Canada?

The AMEX site (Membership rewards area) will tell you what airlines you can transfer your 100K MR points to. I'm not sure if they have different partners & rules in Canada. Your two smaller accts. are basically worthless at this time I think. Let us know what you find out on the AMEX site.

Generally the flexibility of Amex Membership Rewards is the main selling point. SO unless you have an aimminent award redemption, keep the points int he MR Account.

Hi Phil,

I think my airmiles acct will help on a CDN short haul which I'm planning shortly, however, I want to use my AMEX mileage to the best of my advantage for future International trips.

I'll find out what I can on their site and report back
