Chase: Continental or British Airways
I hear a lot about Chase cracking down on their sign up bonuses these days. It looks like they aren't allowing people to sign up for the same card twice. This makes me nervous as I would love to get the British Airways card and the Continental card.
I'm at a crossroads because I understand that Chase won't allow you to get approved for two cards at once. I'm wondering if I'm crazy to do the Continental card now and just hope that the British Airways card comes back someday.
What is your advice?

I applied for BA and my mother applied for CO. Both got approved.
I heard people suggesting to pick one and wait 40-60 days before you apply for another. Both are great deals.Sign your self for one and sign your friend, spouse, relative for the other one.

That being said, I'd say go for the CO, because that will for sure be gone soon forever. There's a chance that the BA 100k will be back, and even if not, 50k will prob float around.

I've read in a blog (I can't remember specifically which one) that people were getting only one credit inquiry when applying simultaneously using two different browsers. Probably the credit bureaus group the inquiries from the same creditors...
Can anybody confirm this?

I suggest going for CO as they won't be around for long. I'm surprised they currently even have a special offer.
This is the second time BA is coming out with a 100K offer. The last time they came out with it, they extended it as well.

No problems here
I applied for the CO card in late Feb and was approved. I went ahead and applied for the BA card knowing there was a chance of being denied. I was prepared to call Chase and request moving some credit from the CO card to allow the BA card to be approved. It wasn't needed and I was approved without any effort for the BA card. My applications were about 6 weeks apart. I say go for it, just be prepared to make a phone call if needed. (I say this with the assumption your credit is good.)

I'd go for the 100K BA deal as those miles go way further than CO miles. Seems like the merger has really watered down there rewards availability. I hope it doesn't turn into Delta!

I applied for two chase cards last night...BA 100k and United Mileage Plus 50k (targeted mail)...both were deferred. I am planning to call and have them cancel a different card and roll that credit onto both or one of these cards.
Interestingly enough, a few months ago, I got a targeted mail offer and appleid for the United Mileage Plus Select (50k). So since this time it's the non-Select card, I wonder if I would get the bonus again?

Apparently today is the last day for the BA offer. I assume the OP has made a decision by now.
I think it depends on your circumstances to a great degree. Do you already have miles with either BA or CO? Do you have UA miles that you will be combining with the CO miles? Do you prefer *A or OW?
I got the CO card with the 50k bonus miles back in early March because I already had over 50k UA miles and knew I would be putting them together. I didn't have a CO OnePass account before then.
And I just got the BA card approved a couple of days ago about 2 weeks after applying. I had them move some of my existing credit line from my UA Visa card. If you have multiple Chase accounts they seem to be amenable to moving credit lines around so their exposure isn't increased. The rep I talked to even suggested it before I did.
But as others have suggested, CO will go away for good in a couple of months. Since BA has already done this promo twice with a good response I think it is likely to return at a later date.

My husband had to make the same decision last week because he has two Chase cards already, and since he told me to take care of it, I chose Continental. My BA miles are less valuable to me because of the fuel surcharge to Europe. And as been said, the BA promo may come around again.
