Airport Codes on Forum

Where do you find all the codes used on this forum.
As a newbie, I don't know where anyone is referencing!
Help?

you know what would be helpful - if FlyerTalk had a way where it could automatically detect the airport codes in posts and then if you hover over the code with your mouse it would pop-up with what the airport is.

Stick around here long enough and you too will be talking in a way that no-one in the real world understands: Planning a quick MR to GIG via GRU , is there any way to force a stopover via EZE or would LAN via UIO and LIM get me more EQMs as an AA EXP?

that doesn't even take into account the trick thread, which truly is an entirely different language!

I've been on FT for 13 years and even I don't understand that thread. I think it requires an even deeper psychosis than your everyday Flyertalker is suffering from.

There is a greasemonkey script out there somewhere that does this. It is pretty nice, or it was last time I used it a year or so ago. Odds are google could find it.

I take the attitude that anyone who uses codes, acronyms, etc. in a post, intends that only those who understand the codes will understand and respond to the post. Personally, I want as many readers as possible to read and make use of my posts, especially beginners. So I never use airport or airline or alliance codes or abbreviations or acronyms. And those who use airport codes in an question miss the possibility that I could answer that question. I don't remembers the codes of even the (considerable number of) airports to which I have flown.

Or you can simply type "XXX Airport" from Google, it should be able to tell you where is that airport.
