Airport Code Lookup is at the bottom of the forum page. Even faster is to select and right-click Google in Firefox and IE8 (other browsers, too?). But I'd love to see a hover pop-up.

to me the bigger problem is that the search feature will not accept 3 letter codes as a search item as its too short

Webflyer Mileage Calculator
A related website you may find useful is:
http://www.webflyer.com/travel/mileage_calculator/
That program can calculate distance between two airports. I think it's "great circle" measurements, not FF miles, but close enough to be useful.
