any good points can be converted to UA miles?

You can convert 10,000 Starwood (and a bunch of other hotel program) points to 5,000 United. A terrible use of Starwood points, but it's an option.

I am in the same boat to get 4950 miles to book a reward ticket. I have already signed up for mypoints and Netflix today. Does any one have estimate how soon these miles will post?
1. Mypoints 750 miles
2. Netflix 4000 miles
Plan to close the remaining 200 miles with starwood points. Any suggestions on ways to get UA miles posted within a week? Thanks a lot.

You could buy off the miles, (5k miles will cost approx. $230 incl taxes, and these miles post in 48 hours).
And unless you are SPG Plat Preferred, you won't be able to transfer just 200 points to MP. Its minimum 1500 for SPG gold Preferred, and 2500 for SPG Preferred.
Depending on where you stay, you could do a mileage run, but it won't probably get you 5k miles at a lesser cost than $230.

I did Netflix with AA, but those miles posted really quickly--I think a few days at most.
MP shopping at eBags and drugstore.com just took about 2 weeks to post for me.
Note min. Starwood transfer is 2500 pts (=1250 MP miles) unless you have status with them.

The Netflix miles posted really fast. Signed up on 02/11 and received the miles on 02/14. But I only get the 2k today with the 4k promotion. I don't know when will the second half be posted.
I found on the fine notes that Mypoints will not post after 30days. But I doubt it will ever post. I signed up for my wife last July, but could not find any miles posted on her MP account so far.

I thought the Mypoints offer required you to actually read their spam for a month before they credited anything? I tried but couldn't handle it, had to unsubscribe after a few days, so I'm not sure how long it would take.
