Le Meridien in London

I want to know have anyone stayed at the Le Meridien Grosvenor hotel in London. It really looks good on their website. I'll be staying there for 10 nights, so I want a good hotel, plus it is for 165GBP, I would like to hear all suggestion.

Empress - I'm not certain about Le Meridien in London, but I stayed at Le Meridien Etoile in Paris on Friday and Saturday nights, and the service was frankly horrible.
By all accounts other hotels in this chain are very pleasant, but I shan't be in a rush to sample them.

We stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago before it was a Meridien. I absolutely loved it because I've been in cramped little dingey rooms in London before. The room we had was large and the bathroom was wonderful. My husband got to London a few days after me and said, "This is it?" He felt it was small and not up to his standards. After a couple of days he warmed up to it and we had a great time. It's in a terrific location just a half block from a tube station and a few blocks from Harrods. Go to Harrods food hall, buy some fresh fruit (or even their pre-packaged deserts), and keep them in your minibar. If it's been upgraded, I'm sure it's even better. The view from the dining room in the morning when the Horse Cavalry rides by is wonderful.

Empress,

The hotel is of a good standard as are most of Le Meridian's outside of France!

Before you stay, register in "Carte Noir" Forte/Granada's loyalty program for Meridian's. The benefits are worthwhile and later this year the program will be integrated with the other Forte loyalty programs.

The details are available at:
