We stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago before it was a Meridien. I absolutely loved it because I've been in cramped little dingey rooms in London before. The room we had was large and the bathroom was wonderful. My husband got to London a few days after me and said, "This is it?" He felt it was small and not up to his standards. After a couple of days he warmed up to it and we had a great time. It's in a terrific location just a half block from a tube station and a few blocks from Harrods. Go to Harrods food hall, buy some fresh fruit (or even their pre-packaged deserts), and keep them in your minibar. If it's been upgraded, I'm sure it's even better. The view from the dining room in the morning when the Horse Cavalry rides by is wonderful.
