Just got an email back from Healthy Choice Customer Service......If you buy a six pack of soups.....or a three pack of popcorn you can only use the upc from the package...not the individual cans or bags of popcorn.

Evidently after we submit our proofs of purchase, register receipts, and coupon(s) specifying the airline for which we choose to receive miles, we'll all be sent certificates for the miles on that airline. The point here is that we then have to submit those certificates to the airline for credit, and it turns out that's a good thing.

That's because the mileage certs themselves will have an expiration date that (I believe) extends into the year 2000. If you wait until then to deposit them, you'll extend the life of those miles by a year for airlines that have expiration dates based on year of accrual (like American and United). So that's the tip--when you get your actual mileage certs, make sure I'm right about their having an expiration date into the year 2000, and, unless you need them for an award now, wait until that year to deposit them.

Happy eating!

Many thanks to those who mailed me the double mile coupons. Anybody have any suggestions as to how to remove upc code from the deli meats (turkey/ham) without destroying the package. Once opened they will spoil. Has anyone tried freezing opened packages - or got the label off without opening the package. And what about the cheese? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm off to the supermarket today for my last purchase - soup at $1.79 plus .50 off every three. I'll be mailing in for 11,000 miles later today.

I buy the deli meats in a cardboard box with a plastic bag inside - but the ziplock type bag works wonders if you have to cut any bag.

I'd made it to 5000 miles worth when I toted it all up Saturday. Then, gooflike, I didn't put it in the mail today. So, it's off to the PO tomorrow and hope it makes it there on time.

I know this is VERY last minute, but I was wondering if anyone still has an extra certificate for double miles. I knew about the Healthy Choice offer, but not the double miles.

I just mailed away 30 UPC's and receipts for the May double promotion. I'm sick of Healthy Choice products now....bring on the fattening stuff!
