United MP Select Visa
Before I activated my MP Visa, I asked the representative a few questions, including affirmation of the annual fee being waived for the first year, which I was told yes.
I looked at my account and the $95 was already there.
I reached a representative, who transferred me to someone after hearing my case. I'm presuming it was an outsourced call because I couldn't understand much, they didn't understand me, and I was basically told the equivalent of tough luck, you have to pay the fee.
I requested a supervisor, who I presume was back in America and she was very helpful. She stated the online application allows for a waived fee and she apologized.
Just a heads up to anybody that doesn't scrutinize your account like you should. Banks profit on misinformation and apathy.
