Miles for graduating college?

I signed up for a program a few years ago that promised 50,000 miles with proof of graduation from an accredited college. However I completely forgot who ran the promotion and my school email account closed now that I've graduated.

Does anyone remember this program? If I know where to go I can log in but without the email I'm clueless. I did a lot of google searching without any luck.

P.S. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum to use. This is my first post.

Zanduar, I'll add my welcome, too. In addition to the links cited by our members, as this pertains to a mileage accrual program, I'll move to the MilesBuzz forum. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

I would actually be interested in knowing if there are any programs like the United one that gives 10k miles for graduating.

That was it. I forgot how much it was for. I graduated from a 2 year community college over the summer and transferred my credits over to a 4 year university. So I have an A.S. degree. I am trying to see if I can find a way to get enough miles to use for study abroad in the spring.

Though it seems I need around 50k miles to get a free trip. Is it possible to use miles to reduce the cost of a ticket? I doubt it but I figured it is worth asking.

(emphasis mine)

IIRC, the bonus miles are only good for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, not associate's degrees.

Thanks for that. I wasn't aware it was available for graduate degrees. ^

Just to point out, "Copy of official transcript must be received within 12 months of graduation."

I told my kid I'd give him 1000 miles for each A and 500 for each B.

Yep I just got 10K for my masters degree last week, as an August grad. As for partially paying with miles, I don't think United has a pay with miles program similar to Delta's.

Thanks for starting this thread OP, I had no idea. Will definitely take advantage of this once wife graduates in May. Its great to see UA aknowledgeing graduate students as full-time students. Many times they are not considered as full-time students for various promotions bcs of age(ski-pass for example or discounted rates at other venues). I signed her up. ^

Thanks. I'm just wondering where you got this information from. When I checked the rules I didn't find anything specified the type of degree.

I don't know, the kid might be able to get a few magazine subscriptions, but the kid would need a lot of great grades for just one domestic flight (i.e. 25 As!).
