I got my 10K miles within two weeks of turning a copy of my final transcript last Spring. While some may complain, "only 10,000 miles", like hey its free.
Also I too was concerned in regards to their "full time" requirement, as I did my master at night after work, as opposed to full time students. Since most folks get their masters in this manner, I am sure UA is more than happy to reward such people with high income potential who may also be inteh position to steer company business towards United.
Lastly, here's the programs rules. They do not specially spell out BA, masters, PhD, nor law/medical school. Nor do they mention an associates degree, as it is not eligible for the bonus. Still it is a nice reward for something you are already working on.

United College Plus rules
The following rules and guidelines form the basis for United College Plus. No, there won't be a test, but it always helps to know what you can and can't do.
1. United Airlines reserves the right to terminate the Mileage Plus or United College Plus program without notice, so that, regardless of how much you participate in the program, your right to accumulate mileage and/or certificates and claim awards can be terminated at such time as United Airlines specifies.
2. Participation in the Mileage Plus or United College Plus program is subject to any Terms and Conditions, Rules, Regulations, Policies and Procedures ("Program Rules") that United Airlines may in its discretion adopt from time to time. Any failure to follow Program Rules, any abuse of program privileges, any conduct detrimental to the interest to United Airlines, or any misrepresentation of any information furnished to United Airlines or its affiliates may result in the termination of membership, the cancellation of accrued miles, awards or benefits, or both. Members of United College Plus may be required to show a valid student I.D. when ticketing or when redeeming United College Plus certificates.
3. United Airlines also reserves the right to make changes in the Program Rules, accrual rates, award structure, or levels of mileage required for any or all awards, in whole or in part, at any time, such as raising mileage levels, revising the procedures and regulations for mileage accrual, award redemption and ticketing, limiting the period for which accrued mileage may be maintained, adding an unlimited number of blackout days, or limiting the number of seats available to any or all destinations. Any changes can be made without advance notice.
4. The presently effective redemption schedule for the various awards offered under the program is set forth in the Mileage Plus Member's Guide, which will be provided upon request or can be downloaded at www.united.com. The awards offered in Mileage Plus or United College Plus may be withdrawn, limited, or modified from time to time, and you may not be able to obtain all awards or use awards to all destinations or on all flights. In accumulating mileage and/or certificates, you may not rely upon the continued availability of any award or award level.
5. The accumulation of mileage and/or certificates and the redemption of awards are subject to specific portions of the Program Rules. You are responsible for reading those materials in order to understand your rights and responsibilities under the program. Your right to transfer or assign mileage, benefits or awards earned or granted under the program is strictly limited. The sale of mileage, awards or benefits is prohibited and may, in addition to the penalties otherwise associated with violations of the rules, result in the confiscation or cancellation of the subject mileage, awards or benefits.
6. Your membership account will be activated by flying one qualifying United Airlines flight on which mileage is accrued, or by any other method authorized under the program. If you do not activate your account within twelve months after enrollment, or if you fail at any time to earn any mileage for 18 consecutive months, your account and accrued mileage, if any, may be terminated. Once activated, your account may become inactive if you fail to earn any mileage during a period of twelve consecutive months. When your account is inactive, you will not receive notification of program changes or other mailings about Mileage Plus or United College Plus.
7. Member must be registered in College Plus prior to graduation. Member must graduate with a degree from accredited United States college or university. Member must submit a full copy of their official, final transcript with in 12 months of their graduation date. We are unable to accept a copy of a diploma or letter from the college.

Nor do they mention an associates degree, as it is not eligible for the bonus.

If I am not mistaken, in the United States, associate's degrees are considered foundation courses (i.e. the 1st two-year) that eared credits can be transferred to 4-year colleges/universities. UA used to have a much more in-depth webpage to describe CollegePlus program and benefits but no more. In the other active thread, I'd already provided my understanding and the wordings from the original CollegePlus brochure that I obtained in 1990s, so I am not going to repeat myself. You can follow the discussion in the said thread.
UA is the only authority to confirm the most current policy for graduation bonus in their CollegPlus Program. Good luck!

I applied for and received this myself. From the email sent to me from a 1k/GS Customer Service agent:
In order to credit your account with the 10,000 mile graduation bonus, we need a photocopy of your official college or university transcripts showing completion of your degree. To be eligible for the graduation bonus, your graduation must be within the last 12 months and you must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. No other documentation will be accepted for verification of your degree.
Advanced degrees definitely work. Good luck!
