Here's an update: Amex has informed us that there is no such charge. They posted incorrect information on their Web site. No one should have been charged, if I understand correctly, because the charge was to have taken effect Jul 1, but we would like to know if anyone is in fact charged. Now that we have been directly TOLD there is to be no charge, if a charge is forthcoming Amex deserves to catch hell, just as they would have had they defrauded members.
