The which FFP program to join thread
It looks like there are several threads asking for advice on which FFP to join. I am not sure if there is a thread similar to what I am proposing, if not I am planning to include in this post, reasons why I joined my program. There are lots of newbies out there and so if others chip in to show why they like their program or what to consider as it might others. We just reference this thread when a newbie asks the question.
Is there a thread like this anywhere?

MilesBuzz! is often home to Which FFP? threads. A newbie has to think about what they need from a programme, so a general post on why I or anybody else chose their programme for their particular circumstances may be a bit moot?

The way to make this happen is to click the "Alert a Moderator" button (black exclamation point in red triangle under the poster's name, once known as the "Report Bad Post" button) under one of your posts here and make the request. Posting the request won't accomplish anything unless and until a moderator happens to come here, read the thread, and notice the message. This usually happens eventually in active forums like this, but why leave it to chance? That's what the button is for!

It's not brain surgery. The "pure" FFP-related factors are upgrades and redemptions. Different people give different weights to each. The tangentially related factors are route network, partners, and price, since upgrades and redemptions lose value if you can't go where you want at a reasonable price. If all of the above are roughly equal then the next tie-breakers would be soft and hard product.
