A listing of airlines servicing airports?

Does anybody know of a way/source to determine which airlines service particular airports?
I know that some of the larger airport web sites list which airlines service them, but many do not. So, how would one find out ALL the airlines that service an airport?

I've attempted to use an airline ticket booking sites (like Expedia, Travelocity, Trip, etc) that will give fares and flights from point A to point B, but it doesn't say which airlines service that airport to ANY destination.

On many occasions, I have wanted to know where you can go Non-Stop from an airport, and been unble to find that information. But, if you have a list of the carriers that service an airport, it is much easier.

Looking for both domestically and internationally.

(I think that OAG might have this info, but they charge a lot for their data...)

OAG Air travel atlas (or one of the "regional" guides with the airports you are interested in: North America, etc).

I can only speak for my hometown airport, San Antonio (SAT). SAT is served by Delta, United, Midwest Express, Southwest, Northwest, Mexicana, Aerolitoral (Aeromexico commuter), TWA, Continental, America West and American.

As far as the "fortress hubs" you can fugure out that the dominant airline in that city will have the most non-stop flights to the spokes radiating from that hub city.

Delta: DFW, Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, Atlanta, New York (JFK)

American: DFW, Chicago (ORD), Miami

Northwest: Minneapolis, Detroit, Memphis

United: Chicago (ORD), Denver, Washington (IAD), San Francisco

Continental: Houston (IAH), Cleveland, Newark.

America West: Phoenix, Las Vegas, Columbus OH.

Anyone I miss?

Actually, what I am really looking is the flights from non-hubs and the smaller airports.

But, even the large hub aiport data would be great. For example, in Newark, Continental has a major hub there, but there are a lot of smaller carriers that utilize that airport as well. Who are they, were do they go?

(again, not looking for Newark in specific )as the answer for this is at www.panynj.gov, just a good source of this type of data for any airport)

US Airways has hubs in CHarlotte, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and BWI (plus I think Dulles as the Metrojet hub). Delta also has a mini-hub in Orlando for Comair and Delta Express.

As for airports I am familiar with, Chattanooga has four: DL to Atlanta and Cincy, NW to Memphis, UA to Chicago, and US to Charlotte (although only US flies here itself instead of using a commuter line--and half of theirs are really Piedmont). Nashville has:

American to DFW, O'Hare, LaGuardia, Raleigh, and LAX
Continental to all three hubs
Delta to Atlanta, Cincy, Little Rock, Louisville, Orlando, and DFW (also to, but not from, SFO)
Northwest to all three hubs
United to Chicago, Denver, and Dulles
USAirways to Charlotte, Indy, Little Rock, Philly, Pittsburgh, and National

Southwest to Austin, Baltimore, Birmingham, Midway, Cleveland, CMH, Fort Lauderdale, Hobby, Jax, KC, Vegas, Islip, LAX, ManchesterNH, New Orleans, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Providence, San Antonio, San Diego, Seattle, and Tampa
AirTran to Gulfport, MS
TWA to St. Louis
Corporate Express to Atlanta
Skyway to Milwaukee

Air Canada to Toronto

Everybody here is great, I do appreciate your suggestions, but that is not what I am looking for. There are thousands of airports and for us to put all of that together would be way to hard.

I am looking for a free (or relatively inexpensive) data source that can be referenced to obtain this information.

I usually look at the problem from the other end: I would like to fly using these airlines (in some order), then use the airline web site to see if they go there.

If you have a particular airport in mind you could try their website.

I think Newark has its own website that has a listing of all the airlines there.

Let me check and get back to you!

Yes, Newark does have it's own website, I listed it above. But, that isn't what I am looking for.

And Yes, I know about OAG and I believe that it perhaps has what I want. The problem, the last I recall, is that it is really expensive (like hundreds of dollars) and I wouldn't use it enough to justify it for this reason.

There seems to be so many systems out there and just thought there would be one on the web that listed this type of stuff.

Why? Well, with my job, many times I am in obscure small airports (in USA and abroad) and there for a few weeks on end. I would like to take short trips, perhaps weekend or overnight and prefer non-stop flights as the time is short. Also, many times the smaller, discount airlines fly to non-hubs, or point to point destinations. (For example, I just found Shuttle America Airlines out of Hartford... Great example, and they are not in any CRS system)

Hopefully I am clear now. Even if I am not, everybody here has been very helpful!

The OAG is definitely your best bet. One year, 12 issues, $339. Subscribe every two or three years and you keep up with the changes, especially if all you want to know is what airlines serve an airport. It has every scheduled flight in the country. And after you've used it for a while, you'll convert to a 24-issue subscription every year and love to be able to save bundles of time by calling your travel agent (or getting on line) and telling him/her/it where you want to go, when, and on which flight.
BTW: Back when I was trying to achieve status on DL, I used the OAG to construct my own connections. I'd go DCA-CVG-ATL round trip and get four segments instead of two - and a few extra miles, as well. No travel agent or conputer res system would ever suggest that.

you can always get an old issue (with all the informations you are looking for) from a friendly travel agency or airline employee. At least the way I would ask for it I feel very confident to get it free any time.

And this/my information for you is free too.

I hope we are clear now, aren't we? Lets not become more complicate then necessary - please.

I just found something interesting... It isn't exactly what I am looking for, but it has a wealth of on-line data, pertaining to almost every aspect of the airline industry. I'm amazed by how much stuff is here...

I have been using Electronic Travel Desk by GoldenWare Technologies. It is a Electronic timetable of 90% of the airlines. This is what AA us using for their E-timetable.

Go to http://www.traveldesk.com

The full version with all of the airlines they have with 1 year of updates is only like $35.00. I have found it to be very useful.

It still doesn't have exactly what you are looking for because you want the opposite of what is usualy queried. You want "All flights departing from XYZ to anywhere."

I recommend this software, and have found it to have most airlines albeit not all.
