I just proceeded all the way to the final payment screen on booking (ORD-PVG, business class) and didn't notice any additional charges.
As much as I'd really like to nail down a seat on that flight, I can't pull the trigger yet because I can't seem to get ba.com to display LGA-ORD-PVG as a through trip; they REALLY want me to chose an LHR routing, to the extent that the "include partners" link doesn't even present itself on my preferred date (though, it does the day prior). I'll stop short of blasting BA over its website because most US airline sites don't display partner availability at all. That having been said, as long as they maintain that they have partner routes covered, they should be held somewhat accountable for missing the obvious. |

I'm waving my newbie flag again and asking for help. I have been various threads and faqs about redeeming the BA miles, but I'm still a bit lost.
The goal is ORD to BCN in Sept. I have checked the BA site and it shows no availability for the dates (9/10-9/24) that I am looking for on either BA or partner flights. Do more dates open up as you get closer to the flight dates? From the chart, it appears that it will cost me 240,000 points to get two round-trip coach tickets, but that's only if the dates actually open up. Good thing I wasn't shooting for first class! :) Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to be patient and check the site every day for those days to open up on BA or one of their partner airlines? |

is NYC-NRT/HKG-DEL on JL/CX a valid routing?
could I use NYC-NRT/HKG-DEL on JL/CX as a valid routing to India without getting charged for two awards? Anyone done this?

Ah..I think I must have entered for "C" class when I did a dummy booking and saw that I needed 240k. It's all moot if I can't find any availability for my dates though. Thank you for the correction.
That sounds wonderful, but this is my year to finally see a bit of Europe. And to answer your earlier question, more award availability can open up as time progresses and loads are assessed. Would be slightly odd to see no Y availability on what is a fairly strong route this far out. Have you broken it down to the two component parts to see if there is one leg in particular which has no availability, and how you could resolve that? |

You can get to anywhere in SE Asia that CX or JL flies (i.e. as close to DEL as; maybe BKK) and buy a separate ticket. The end result is that you'll spend less miles and cash than you would by redeeming on BA metal. |

no, you will get charged for two awards that way, unless you do a mileage based award.
Why is this not a valid route for a single award? Can u not stop in NRT or HKG on the way to DEL? Maybe i am misunderstanding what the / symbol means between NRT & HKG. |
Any one has idea what's the YQ on MX for MEX-HAV or CUN-HAV?

one-way + stop-over
I am sorry if this has been asked before, but can all rewards on all partner airlines be issued one-way at 50% of the miles required for a round-trip?
Also, if one redeems for US domestic one-way at 12,500 miles, can one make an en-route stop-over? Thank you! |
