I'm poking around looking into my first mileage run, I'm 6500 miles short of getting Elite status with Air Canada for the year and I'm looking for something that would be under $1000 that would get me over the threshold. I have tried looking around, but haven't been able to find a good option. Looking at the MR tools has me thoroughly confused about how to do it effectively as well lol
So, I need 6500 miles with AC, flying out of YYZ and hopefully for under $1,000 Any pointers are appreciated! December 3 AC103 ...... All I wanted to do was find you an itinerary that worked. And BTW, that's ALL AC metal except for LAX-LAS on UA, so all upgradeable with SSWU. This can be booked using multi-city function on AC.
You should really be checking out the AC forum. There's been lots of discussions on MRs there recently. Need 6100 miles Mileage Run Help |

CO: Mileage run on Continental help requested
I'm trying to figure out a good mileage run before the end of the year so I can hurdle over the Plat barrier for the first time. By my calculcations, I need about 7800 miles before the end of the year to reach that goal.
One good deal I've found is a flight from DFW to POS (via IAH) on Dec 25 and returning on Dec 26 in L class. This gives a fare of $362 for 6124 miles which is still short of my 7800 mile goal. I've tried looking at tacking on other flight segments to this itinerary with no luck, and also looked at trips to HNL and LHR, AMS and CDG that would help me reach this goal to no avail. My mileage run construction skills are still I have the flexiblity to leave from either DFW or AUS for the mileage run, and some flexibility on dates around Christmas, so I was hoping some of the resident experts on Flyertalk would weigh in with some advice and/or a better suggestion. Any help is appreciated! |
