Question MR within Canada?

So, I know a lot of MR can happen in the USA.
I looked through several pages of the Mileage run board, and there are no mileage runs intra Canada.
It's so expensive to travel within Canada. It's not surprising to find it cheaper to fly to Asia than it is to fly within Canada.
I've never done a MR, but I'd like to do one without the commitment of going into the USA.
Anyone ever done an Intra Canada MR, If there is such a thing.

Thanks to duopoly on AC and WestJet. Also with AC the cheapest fare get 0 EQM, it is kind of pointless to do MR.

Get one to HKG... or LHR (where's nearest) from YHZ on AC. Sorry the choice of airlines are kinda limited.

I think AC is just too expensive to make a pure MR ever feasible. The best you can really hope for is to add a stopovere on a business trip. i've started flying LHR-YUL via Toronto in part for the extra 1600 miles (and to get XM aircraft) for example.

If there ever was a MR available I think what you would have to watch out for is a route that westjet flies where westjet put n a promotion and AC matched it but without tweaking their routing rules. If it happend it would probably be something like YYC-YUL via YHZ or something like that.

Even then as the other poster said they would probably only match it with a T fare. You need them to do a T+ fare to earn miles. Assumin you're accumulating with AP. A UA MR on AC might be possible with T fares, not sure.

How about SEATTLE?

It's a lot cheaper than YVR if you can get A class all the way. On this itinerary, 2 of the flights have only 1 seat left. You would have to pay for a hotel near Sea-Tac Airport. The return has been constructed so that you would fly overnight on the return; this allows you time to zigzag both in the west and the east and earn a lot of extra miles, in particular the YOW-YUL.

Code:
AC 661A 24JUN YHZYUL 0625 0705 * TU

Here is 7 segments with a 18-minute connection in YEG, but you could cut it to 6 segments by omitting the inter-Alberta flight; the reason for that flight is the chance to earn 500 easy miles.

The return:

TO ANSWER THE ORIGINAL QUESTION:
Using this same itinerary, but omitting the YVR-SEA-YVR sectors, the pricing is over $400 higher and would earn 1000 less miles and 2 less segments. Still a decent MR for those who prefer not to go in to the US!

There's a couple of threads on creative routes on AC on the first page of the AC Forum right now.
