(FARE GONE) UA: Bwi-sea $49+ Ow

I'm hoping a few people here could help dig up something on this interesting fare I found on FC:

BWI - SEA, One-Way on UA for $49 (base fare) with evidently no surcharge.

Fare Basis: LOA14NV1, with a 14day Advance Purchase Reuqirement, Departures starting on 29 May 08.

However, I can't read anymore rules about this fare since I don't have EF or anything else...I also can't find this at all on ITA, so i'm not even sure it's bookable.

Anyone with some help? Here's my reference point:
http://www.farecompare.com/flights/U.../schedule.html

If this works - it would be a nice way to pick up Double EQMs!!! :-)

-jeremy

Can't pull it up on ITA either. When I checked FC, it showed $138 all-in departing and returning on either June 1-4 and/or June 8-11. Can't pull it up on .bomb either.

Hmm...

I see this and a similar SEA-MKE for a similar price.

There is a very narrow window to find L class availability:

Code:
DAY/TIME
   PERMITTED 750AM TO 849AM SUN/MON/TUE/WED.
And the fare is only valid for travel from June 1 to June 11.

I'm seeing MKE-SEA/SFO/LAS for $137 on FareCompare (on DL, in theory), but haven't found it for purchase anywhere yet.

Is this time for booking or, as I assume, time for travel?

I see SEA-BWI RT on FC $139+

It's the time of departure for the first segment from BWI and first segment from SEA (if roundtrip).

Hmm... so that means outbound from SEA only on UA958 via ORD.

Pretty much. Out of BWI, there are more flights (e.g. codeshares on US BWI-LGA), so perhaps this fare can be used for BWI-SEA while a higher fare used for SEA-BWI.

Maybe this fare would happen more often if AirTran made their presence here year-round, rather than seasonal.

That's perfect - thanks Keith...this is exactly what I was looking for!

I knew there would be some stipulation within the fare rules, and this is it! Now it's up to us to try to find that prized L bucket on the one flight leaving BWI, if it ever becomes available for those 10 days :-)

Sorry to post this fare, but I'm glad we were able to determine it's exact possibility of using it as a MR!

sfo-mke $137+ rt?

i got a farecompare alert for SFO-MKE this morning for $137+, round trip on United.

When i clicked over to farecompare, it was showing $137+ as available June 1-11, sun-wed travel only. wasn't able to get this fare on orbitz, expedia, united, and the cheapest fare showing on ITA (as far as i could tell, i'm new to ITA) was about $150 one way.

But based on those dates in the fare rule for the BWI-SEA fare, it sounds like this fare could be related somehow? but so far, it's just a farecompare phantom.
