Sorry I have never been 2P on United so I didn't know.

Could a moderator mark as "fare gone"? It's not longer available.

Just completed my one-day turn yesterday. LAX-DEN-MIA-DEN-LAX, and got upgraded (e500s) on the LAX-DEN segment, which was nice to have a hot breakfast. Long day, but it was worth it for the miles... going for 1P at least this year.

Saw the aftermath of the cancelled PHX flight (returned to DEN due to turbulence) at DEN last night. We had some moderate turbulence on the DEN-MIA flight, but it wasn't bad on the return flight MIA-DEN.

The FA's were surprised to see me turn right back around and I told them about MR'ing... one FA said he had heard about it, but never met anyone who actually did it!

Thanks for your report.

Short haul breakfasts have really improved on UA over the last year, no?

In my experience (esp LAX/SNA/BUR-DEN), short haul breakfasts are identical to midcon or even transcon breakfast. They really need to bring back transcon milk and cookie since that was the only thing distinguishing midcon and transcon

I agree the return of cookies and milk is needed. In fact I wish all transcon breakfast flights were like PS transcons with a second meal before landing.

But I am also very thankful that instead of the "egg mcmuffin", we now get a full breakfast on a two hour flight.

Schedule Change

For those who haven't received notice yet, there appears to be a schedule change that will create problems for same day MR's.

Here is the revised itinerary I received today for my 9/24 and 9/30 runs:

LAX - DEN
6:00AM 9:18AM

DEN - MIA
10:50 4:29PM

MIA - ORD
3:44PM 5:59PM

ORD - LAX
8:00PM 10:32PM

Note that the return time from MIA is before the arrival time!

How will this be fixed? Is this UA screwing with us?

Buddy we need to talk.

I live in DC but am in the process of living on both coasts. Long Beach, California is my original home. By the way I like your new user id.

Is this still available? And can it be done from LGB/LAX to DCA/IAD?
