For each request, please include the following information. For UA, choose PQF, PQP or BIS (for MM runners):

Departure Airport:
Miles (PQF/PQP/BIS, choose one) Needed:
Maximum Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided. Otherwise, you may have to take advantage of TWOV (visa on arrival). Its information can be found: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chin...er-thread.html

Please post the exact amount of miles needed. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

Premier Accelerator Offer for 2020 (PQP)

If you need PQP (Premier Qualifying Points) on United, you do not need to fly after meeting the minumum 4 segment requirement for Premier status. Just give United money and you will probably save taxes and fees (see the thread below). I do not know how high the Premier Accelerator rate will be at the end of 2020, however.

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...tor-rates.html

There are other threads about obtaining PQP from A* partners. You may get more PQPs than what you spend (in dollars). These are good resouces if you plan ahead.

Happy flying in 2020.

Earning Status (PQP) on non-016 Tickets and Partner Metal

The 2021 Premier 1K [re]qualification thread

Edit (4/28/2020): United just closes the partner PQP loophole. See the following thread:

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus/2016632-huge-devaluation-ua-capping-pqp-earn-partners-update-per-flight-segment.html

PQP and PQF thresholds are halved for this year and status has been extended for 12 months.

UA • CONFIRMS • Status Extension to JAN 2022; PQP Thresholds Reduced by ˝ for 2020

The promo announced today might be a (little) incentive:

Bonus Miles July & August 2020 [Targeted and varied, as to amount of bonus]

BIS run in regular economy and easy upgrade!

Here is a MR suggestion by taking advantage of MCO-LAX RT fare of $81 in regular economy.

Departure Airport: CLE
Miles (PQF/PQP/BIS, choose one) Needed: 1318 PQP
Maximum Budget: Open
Available Travel Dates: Mostly open (not the last week of the year)
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: Yes

Route(s) You've Already Searched: N/A
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)? No but can look into it

So I'm aware that United neutered the partner PQP bonuses but it seems like I should still be able to finagle 1500 PQPs out of something that runs less than $1500, but I'm not finding a lot of options with limited routes available. I'm open for just about anything but would like to get under $1000 if there's anything out there.

My so is 2 pqf and 160 pqp away from gold. She asked "why do we need to fly to Vegas and back next weekend?"

What should I say?

Gotta make payroll... hehe
In the early days of FedEx, Smith had to go to great lengths to keep the company afloat. In one instance, after a crucial business loan was denied, he took the company's last $5,000 to Las Vegas and won $27,000 gambling on blackjack to cover the company's $24,000 fuel bill.

Or claim that you need a break/shopping/restaurants/etc...

Happy New Year!

It is December 31 2020 now. This is a very unusual year due to the Pandemic, which can be seen from the lack of posts in this thread. Including this post, I have contributed 40% of the posts here, even without a single response to flight requests. LOL.
Hope to have a better 2021.
Happy New Year and Happy and Safe Travels to everyone.
