@TYSDoc. Since you are Delta Diamond, do you get 120% bonus on RDM? So 54,200 RDM bonus on top of the 45,200 RDM?

Hi mchangmd,
I calculate 3.2 x distance flown, so 72,355 RDM. 3.2 from 200% + 120% diamond bonus.

Is it possible to get a free stopover in CDG (or AMS) in either or both direction on this fare?

For my dates, the fare jumps to 6k.

with that said, there are some opportunities on KLM 787, which I believe is their new business class configuration (1-2-1). Haven’t looked into it too closely though.

Correct. My stance: fly the Dreamliner for comfort, and fly the Queen of the Skies for nostalgia.

For those wondering, seat 1A on the 744 is a single seat. There are only two others (both on the lower deck - 4A/E). 4E is the "throne" seat but I love 1A.

Nearly as cheap for East Coasters: https://www.google.com/flights#flt=/...;so:1;sd:1;t:f

In fact, there's a whole lot of availability at ~2100 out of NYC on 6 day trips beginning in April through EOS: https://www.google.com/flights#flt=/...;so:1;sd:1;t:f

Nice find, I had looked at JFK but forgotten about connections on Delta...

EWR-DTW-AMS-BKK gives you RDMs @ 200% or 40668 RDMs, MQMs @ 150% or 30502 MQMs and MQDs @ 40% or 8134 with an MQD Ratio of 3.87
I've seen some flight AMS-DTW on the Airbus 350 with the Delta Suites. Of course, the DTW stop can work as hidden city for passengers in Detroit or Middle America...

Plus I think there is a 75K cap per ticket for RDM earnings

I wonder if LAX-SFO-AMS-BKK is allowed given SFO-AMS uses the 787 with some frequency

Thanks OP! I just booked end of August with only 1 stop in AMS in both directions, 20 hour layover in AMS on the return! Shortest turnaround I could find for this price ($2,100) was 4 nights in BKK, 1 night in AMS (shorter stay overs avail but I wanted longer in AMS) which is good for me. 2 friends booked same flight with me, so should be a fun trip.

Just booked for April 9-18 $2126.75, booked through Chase Sapphire so knocked $525 off with 35,000 chase points. KL 787 both ways LAX-AMS. But the KL 77s AMS-BKK are 2-2-2. Found some dates that you could fly LAX-AMS-CDG-BKK on a BEST AF 77 CDG-BKK, but not at this fare. For the ~$2100 fare the only dates I could find using AF are the 2-3-2 planes. 18 hour layover in AMS on the return with reasonable hours for sleep.
Searching on the KL site was generally a bust -- found lots of dates with this fare, but many returns included a coach leg BKK-BOM on Air India (no miles earned). Or some with a business class leg on a Jet 737. I think that so long as the the Jet leg has a Jet flight number, it will earn on DL, but at a lower level.
I'd forgotten about the 120% Delta DM bonus.
And 4 more houses!
I think this is the first year since MQDs were initiated that I'll hit MQDs before MQMs.
Thanks to OP, this is a good find.
