So I created an account here to comment on this. I added my QF number too and was assigned seat 4A on both flights but will change to other FF program upon check in because it seems SC and QF points are not accruable on partner flight
"Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes, except on Malaysia Airlines codeshare flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld alliance airline."

EDIT Quoted wrong post.
Thank you for help on this. Been scared to pull the trigger if this is only for Business class. I did find a date in April 777-300er via Malaysia Air operated by Emirates that seems to work on Orbitz but is confusing on the Business (A) classification. Other than calling the airlines, are there any other ways to have a better understanding that this books into a first class seat? Thanks in advance.
