Original premium fare deal was for QR J class travel, originating in Vietnam (SGN and HAN) to several destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Travel period 8/2017 - 3/2018 inclusive, RT fares in the USD 500 - 700 range (USD $0.05 base fare).
Reports have now been circulating that all held, non-purchased fares have been canceled by the airline. Some held and then purchased fares were also canceled, but several reports indicate at least some of those have been re-instated.

This wikipost is intended to help us better understand if there are any trends (by route, travel date, and/or held/ticketed status) in these cancellations. I was told they are having technical problems and are trying to fix it. My "hold" expires in 4 more hours so I'm nervous.

Curious to hear what happens or if any held reservations are honored. My hold expired yesterday, but I was told by Twitter team to contact customer service to see what they could do.

I paid for my hold. When I called earlier "Eddy" (support people always have fake names) said that when the technical issues were resolved my hold would be reinstated. Now when I try to call I only get a busy signal.

. Booked right away and ¨paid¨ with the Chase Ink. (Working down the signup bonus!)
. Got one e-mail asking for passport and paid credit card statement. (Not sure the paid piece since it was posting as ¨pending¨ in the chase webpage).
. Submitted my answer and got a second e-mail reminding me to answer the first one.
. Submitted again and uploaded a case in QR system.
. Now I do not see the charge at all in the Chase pending - posted charges and when trying to access qatarairways.com get the following:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.qatarairways.com/" on this server.
Anybody in a similar plane/boat?

I put in my details, paid with my Colombian Visa and it just went straight through.
Do they recognise I have used it before or they know that my Name / FF no. combo from last time when I didn't use a stolen credit card?
Admittedly my bank called me ten times the following morning to ask how come I'd been shopping in Vietnam. But I've never had this security shenanigans with Qatar's website
