I'm contemplating throwing in the towel too. With the itinerary change, will either Priceline (where I bought it) or VX refund me the ticket?

I am going to let this one wait a week or so....throwing in the towel or cancelling the itinerary is not an option, I am counting on these flights for elite qualification....ORC is far too risky....I'll get it changed back, it may take some time, but it will be a "fun" challenge It would be nice if they put us on AS metal for the transcons to JFK and FLL

I need these miles to requalify to MVP. So if ORC is OK'd, I'll be a loyal customer for another year. If ORC is rejected...

AS has treated me well. I'm willing to gamble

AS is super stingy with ORC. I'd be really surprised if these qualify.

Can you tell me some cases where Alaska has denied ORC? Not trying to be an *** here--genuinely curious.

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around that they haven't approved ORC, especially for partner flights, which VX is at the moment.

So, everyone here got an email regarding their routing change? I didn't get an email for my October run, but when I try and manage the reservation online or on the app, I get a "Whoops! Something went wrong. Give us a call at 1-800-VIRGIN" so I'm fairly confident I must be affected. I booked it via Google Flights.

I got ORC for partner (DL) flights from AS in March. I was rerouted after I got my boarding passes (so had those to submit, not just receipts) and the reroute was on AS which may have made the delete and add easier. I've also read about ORC denials in the Alaska forum here, or AS making a note on their file if they don't requalify at the end of the year. Not sure how 10K+ EQM would fly as a note in a file.

Id be curious if removing FF number and submitting with BP and original
Itin would work?

I have to try to call on my flight from Tuesday to see if there is a way to refund since they screwed up the itin. Maybe I should fly out to PDX anyways and demand that the check in counter fix it. That or DOT.

I checked one of my messed up reservations with the extra legs and when i check seat assignments they are missing from the transcon legs and I can't assign them as the extra segments not only kills the website seat selection but the app as well.

are they allowed to blatantly change the routing?

I got ORC on AS as well when my AA flight from HNL to SFO was delayed and I asked to be put on UA flight. I had originally asked AA for ORC, they told me to go ask Alaska since I wanted AS miles.

I did not get an email for my October run and I do not get the red screen of death, but it is seriously whacked. I am concerned that if I call them and get it fixed, they will have months to screw it up again.

I did get a priceline notice for a run in September, but the routing on that one is still intact.

Re: Alaska ORC credits, fwiw, during the March East Coast blizzard, I actually didn't fly the SFO-JFK-LAX leg on VX (VX cancelled JFK-LAX, and I didn't want to be stranded for the rest of the run, so I simplified it to SFO-LAX-PDX). I later wrote in to AS explaining the situation, and they gave me half the ORC - SFO-JFK, but not JFK-LAX.

That's a strange, yet encouraging result.

Did they give a reason for denying JFK-LAX? If not, did you call back to request credit for the missing JFK-LAX segment?
