AA/One World: 2017-2018 Consolidated Mileage/Status/Challenge Runs help needed
.
Requesters and responders, please read this wiki before posting.
.
In order to organize Mileage/Status/Challenge Run threads, the Moderators have decided to create a consolidated thread. This is the thread for American Airlines.

For each request:
  1. do a search on your departure airport(s) to see if there's a MR already posted that might fit your need
  2. if you don't find what you need, post your request using the standardized format shown below in this wiki
  3. it's nice form to acknowledge the responder with a post indicating whether the assistance worked for you or not. This helps everyone learn about successful runs
  4. if several days have gone by and you have not received a reply, bump up your original post with a (gentle) re-ask. It might be your post was missed in the fray
For each response:
  1. quote the original request
  2. include the route cities, price, airline, cabin/class, EQMs/EQDs, and dates for the solution(s) found
  3. whenever possible, include a link to the solution as found on Google Flights, or attach as screen print of the solution if from another source

_________________________________________________

For each request, use this format as shown. A glossary follows to clarify each entry.

Departure Airport(s):
EQMs or EQSs Needed:
EQDs Needed:
Max Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Max # Travel Nights:
AA only, or Partners Okay:
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N):

If there is additional information you'd like to share that is pertinent to your request, feel free to add it after this standardized request format.
_________________________________________________

GLOSSARY:
Departure Airport(s): list the airport codes of any airports you can depart from, identifying preferred airports if any
EQMs or EQSs Needed: the number of each/either that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
EQDs Needed: the number that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
Max Budget: the maximum amount you're willing to spend to reach status. Less is always preferable, but a max is an important factor. Please make this a realistic number for your goal.
Available Travel Dates: list the range of dates you're available. The more you list, the better your chances of getting a good MR.
Max # Travel Nights: the maximum number of nights you're willing to be away. The nights might be at the destination or at a layover city. If cannot be gone overnight at all, list 0 or "day run only". Again, please make this realistic for your goal.
AA only, or Partners Okay: if you want to only AA-coded flights (e.g. for upgrades, etc), then list "AA only". If you are okay with flying on partners (especially useful for EQD runs), then list "either".
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N): if you have a Chinese visa that will be valid at the time of the MR, then list "Y". Many good MRs have destinations in China, but you need a visa for those destinations.

12500 EQM/16 segments AND 2000EQD -> Platinum
35000 EQM/40 segments AND 4000EQD-> Exec Platinum

Was wondering if people have some nice runs from AMS/BRU/DUS preferred, or Europe (will require a positioning flight)
Departure airport: AMS,BRU,DUS or other airports in Europe
EQM needed: 12500 (or 16 segments)
EQD: 2000
Budget: lowest possible
Dates: 12/22 to roughly the end of January (haven't signed up yet)

Any ideas are welcome, but would prefer anything higher than gold (gold doesn't seem attractive)

Thanks a lot!
ARN-SJC in BA PE is pretty consistently around $700, and that would normally get you around 17,000 EQMs and around 2,400 EQDs. I think challenges usually allow you to book BA-marketed flights (and here you almost have to at least fly BA), but I would make sure booking BA-marketed, as opposed to AA-marketed, flights satisfies the challenge.

Actually, the above fare doesn't seem to be bookable at the moment. The following appears to work, although it's a longer layover in LIM and would arrive back on Monday.

Dates: anywhere between Dec 2 - 18

Is there any issue if I don't actually fly the last leg from DFW to BOS? I'm going to position to BOS from DFW and would prefer to just do that 1-way and then not get on the last leg of the ICN itinerary. Not sure if that violates any AA T&Cs that could cost me the miles from the rest of the trip?

Thanks for your help!
I've done this before and it wasn't an issue. As mentioned by flyingeph12, if you don't make a habit of it, you should be fine.

Following strictly to your specifications: JFK-HNK (r/t)
If you're able to leave Friday morning or return Monday morning, your options open up tremendously (and the cost significantly drops).

I don't think your parameters are realistic. You literally have three days on which you are available to fly, and you need 24,000 EQMs. That's an average of 8,000 EQMs per day. Given that a BOS-HKG flight is 7,970 miles, you start to see the problem...

The only way you will be able to do this realistically is to fly J or PE, which will give you 1.5-2.0 EQM per flown mile. The following in PE is $1,430 (at the moment), but the dates are 12/13-12/15:
12/13 CX BOS-HKG
12/14 CX HKG-HND
12/14 CX HND-HKG (overnight in HKG)
12/15 CX HKG-BOS
https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...c=p;a=ONEWORLD
**I am seeing a similar price for 12/10-12/11 (arrive back on the 12th)**

I am not seeing any options in PE or J for under $1500 over the weekend that will give you 24,000 EQMs. Perhaps someone else will have more ideas.

Hi all! Current gold, trying to get plat for next year. I seem to have the opposite problem of everyone here. I am good with EQM but need EQD. Open to doing any PE long haul or even AS domestic in J. Whatever will hit the EQD for me

Departure Airport: PHL (preferred), EWR, BWI, or can position virtually anywhere
Miles Needed: N/A
Required Spend or Budget: Need ~3k EQD, would like to keep budget to around $2k
Available Travel Dates: any date except dec 5-11
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: any OW or AS
