AA/One World: 2017-2018 Consolidated Mileage/Status/Challenge Runs help needed
.
Requesters and responders, please read this wiki before posting.
.
In order to organize Mileage/Status/Challenge Run threads, the Moderators have decided to create a consolidated thread. This is the thread for American Airlines.

For each request:
  1. do a search on your departure airport(s) to see if there's a MR already posted that might fit your need
  2. if you don't find what you need, post your request using the standardized format shown below in this wiki
  3. it's nice form to acknowledge the responder with a post indicating whether the assistance worked for you or not. This helps everyone learn about successful runs
  4. if several days have gone by and you have not received a reply, bump up your original post with a (gentle) re-ask. It might be your post was missed in the fray
For each response:
  1. quote the original request
  2. include the route cities, price, airline, cabin/class, EQMs/EQDs, and dates for the solution(s) found
  3. whenever possible, include a link to the solution as found on Google Flights, or attach as screen print of the solution if from another source

_________________________________________________

For each request, use this format as shown. A glossary follows to clarify each entry.

Departure Airport(s):
EQMs or EQSs Needed:
EQDs Needed:
Max Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Max # Travel Nights:
AA only, or Partners Okay:
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N):

If there is additional information you'd like to share that is pertinent to your request, feel free to add it after this standardized request format.
_________________________________________________

GLOSSARY:
Departure Airport(s): list the airport codes of any airports you can depart from, identifying preferred airports if any
EQMs or EQSs Needed: the number of each/either that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
EQDs Needed: the number that you need to reach status. Please be as precise as possible, as some MRs can be within a few of your goal.
Max Budget: the maximum amount you're willing to spend to reach status. Less is always preferable, but a max is an important factor. Please make this a realistic number for your goal.
Available Travel Dates: list the range of dates you're available. The more you list, the better your chances of getting a good MR.
Max # Travel Nights: the maximum number of nights you're willing to be away. The nights might be at the destination or at a layover city. If cannot be gone overnight at all, list 0 or "day run only". Again, please make this realistic for your goal.
AA only, or Partners Okay: if you want to only AA-coded flights (e.g. for upgrades, etc), then list "AA only". If you are okay with flying on partners (especially useful for EQD runs), then list "either".
Have Chinese Visa? (Y/N): if you have a Chinese visa that will be valid at the time of the MR, then list "Y". Many good MRs have destinations in China, but you need a visa for those destinations.

It's pretty close to NYC. Just across the river in NJ. However, going from JFK to EWR means crossing NYC. You can drive it, but it'll take 1-2.5hr depending on traffic.

If you're spending a day or two in NYC, then it's not an issue. EWR and JFK are roughly equal distance from Manhattan. But if you're arriving at JFK and departing EWR the same day, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you have a very long connection time.

It's possible to take the metro from JFK to EWR, but it requires 3-4 trains total. Takes 1.5-2 hours. That's the cheapest route. Uber will be $125+.

Edit: There's also a shuttle for $28.

You're posting in the wrong thread, btw.

But I'll give you some suggestions:

You could start with these.
These fares both expire today (in a few hours probably), so if you want it, buy now.

TUN-DOH-JNB-DOH-TUN on QR in J -- $1,439 (sale pricing ends TODAY)
https://goo.gl/flights/Xt96
560 TP

Do it twice and that's 1,120 TP.

---------------

This trip would get you 840TP for $2,114: https://goo.gl/flights/fhgk
TUN-JNB-KUL-TUN in J $2,114
Lie flat seats all 6 long hauls

Adding another TUN-JNB to the above trip will give you an additional 280TP for $650.

Departure Airport: MIA/FLL
Miles Needed: 16,009 EQM (to PlatPro) - 41,009 EQM (to ExP)
Required Spend or Budget: $2000ish
Available Travel Dates: Any dates - Quick (1 night in hotel is ok) turnarounds
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Yes

I have the EQDs for PlatPro already so it is just a matter of getting miles. However if I can somehow get the ExP EQMs and in the process get the EQDs (3000 needed) I'm happy to go further/pay more. Would prefer to travel PE/J and spend a little more to have to fly less if possible.

AA Mileage runs

Departure Airport: PBI, FLL, MIA
Miles Needed:25K
Required Spend or Budget:$1500
Available Travel Dates: Flexible
Required Metal or Codeshares okay:

Can someone point me in the right direction to quickly increase my EQMs on AA. I have heard from friends that they get alerts on AA cheap mileage runs. Would anyone know how I can get this info.

Thanks so much,
Dave

Start with this, but be sure to buy the AA-coded flights. The CX/JL coded flights earn EQM at a greatly reduced rate.

FLL to SIN for $805
11 Oct - 16 Oct
EQM: 21,700
https://goo.gl/flights/n98S

After that, a FLA-LAX/SAN round trip will get you the rest of the way there.

FLL to CGK can be found for slightly cheaper in similar dates and slightly more miles.

Hitting PlatPro can be done cheaply in a single trip:

FLL-SIN rt in Y: $1,141
9 Oct - 11 Oct
EQM: roughly 20k (a bit less due to the leg on CX650)

For ExPlat:

MIA-LHR-JNB rt in J: $4,152
11 Oct - 16 Oct
AA/BA metal - get the AA codeshare for more EQMs
EQM: 40,184 | EQD: 4,000

If you can get yourself to LAX, this is also a pretty good option. The MIA-LAX rt will put you over the top when added to the below trip.

LAX-HKG-AKL rt in PY: $2,248
12 Nov - 14 Nov
CX metal & code.
EQM: 38,844 | EQD: 5,179

More info here

True. I mainly recommended SIN because it's an easier turn than CGK and a much better airport for a late night layover.

Really like the idea of going for ExpPlat, but $4100 is too much for me for business. The LAX version is good, but still requires a different ticket to LAX. Any other options? Happy to fly to India/Middle East/South America.
