Not sure if these will earn any miles in Flying Blue because AZ is not a member airline of Flying Blue. I think in the case of non Flying Blue Skyteam members and codeshares, the operating flight must be operated by a Skyteam member. Would love to be proved wrong.

I booked as well, directly on the Italian version of Alitalia with multiple stopovers( in Milan and in Rome) of several weeks(fits my business schedule). I booked using the multicity tab and the total with all stopovers came to 798 euro. Smashing good price

£543 on the Alitalia site - BUT it looks a bit shaky:
individual flights say <business>, but the fare conditions say very clearly that it's an <economy classic> fare.
Further confusion is that I'm allowed to select business-class seats on some flights, the other flights don't even show.
All in all it looks a mess. The redeeming feature is that the fare - even as <economy classic> - allows refunds.

But (typically) if things go wrong, the airline usually gives the opportunity to bail out with a full refund.
