Mileage Run help with AA
I'm a newbie to this forum and need some help making a mileage run. I'm only about 8,000 elite qualifying points away from Executive Platinum with AA. If I'm going to take a trip overseas, I'd like to at least stay a day or two. Any tips on locations and deals? Thanks!!

For example, AUS-DFW-MIA-SJU-MIA-AUS same day return 12/5 is $698, and I think this would earn over 9000 points with the promotion

You can go to SJU from DFW in business/first and get the points you need, but looks like it will be $870 or so. It might also be worth checking the smaller airports around DFW like ACT or TYR if those are feasible for you.

Thanks all! I've added some work travel and I will be down to needing roughly 5,100 points and have been checking out the EQP promotion above. So I am gathering I could do a mileage run transcontinental or same day or a short trip to somewhere like Aruba. I can travel the week of December 17-23/24 or 25-31. Anyone been to Aruba?
