is AARP $400 not working?
seeing the same price $1610 with and without AARP.... |
Anyone know how to book multiple connections on the BA website? I keep running into issues the flights I want not showing up, or if I do multi-city, it says the connections have to be at least 2 hours. It prices out on matrix, but can't get the flights to price on BA. I don't want to call because I won't get the AARP discount (or can I?)

This morning VS was matching prices on their website, trouble was when you go to book the fares, it came up an error message and to call the reservations center. When I called, the best fare they could offer for JFK-LHR in Upper Class was $6000. After a couple hours of persistence and playing around on the VS site, finally booked JFK-LHR in January for $1600. Fares now are around $2000.

Just booked 3 tickets for $1,600ea. |
In general how do you actually get this to show and book online?
I guess specifically for this fare sale but more broad. In general I do a quick search with the details of typical fare sale post and get no luck in prices close to what is seen. |
I booked earlier in the morning SEA-MAD-SEA for 1400. When the prices dropped to 1000, I canceled the first one before booking the cheaper fare. Pretty pumped!

LAX-BCN came out to an insane $306 and 30,000 Avios per person. |
Just booked LAX-LHR-AMS. Priced at $2010. AARP got it down to $1600. Used 30,000 Avios and got it down to $840. Not the deal some of you got, but I am still pretty happy :)
I wish BA would let you pick your seat without paying $100.... Anyone know a work around? |

Still working: LAX-LHR-SEA for two @ $842 pp. AARP and 30K Avios buy-down pp.

yeah, a real benefit of having AA status, i was able to get seats for all 5 of us on the reservation. Otherwise you more or less have to avoid BA metal on the long hauls (which wasnt too hard to do for this fare, lots of AA coded options were coming up).

If you or someone on your reservation is OW Sapphire or higher, you can choose them. A while ago, AB was offering status matches that would get you to that level.

Booked my first ever flight on BA and my first ever using AARP. Had to join AARP this morning to get this deal! BOS-LHR in Mar for $1600.
I had to call BA to get seats assigned. I'm OW Sapphire but the BA site apparently did not recognize the status (AA #was in the reservation) or I could not figure out how to do it. Agent assigned seats no problem, no charge. I need confirmation- I do get my AA EQP and EQM correct? |
So frustrating. I've priced my itinerary on matrix, but can't get it to book on the BA AARP website. Multi-city says i need at least 2 hours between flights, and origin-destination doesn't provide my routing option. They said call back in 5 hours when the web support team is in. They were able to price it out manually, but couldn't do the AARP discount.
Any suggestions? Thanks |
