Booked for $440. I am enrolled in the corporate challenge giving 50K miles on completion. This will help me meet the challenge as I was bit short -

Anybody have luck with multi city using AARP & 30k Avios? Can't seem to find that option
|
Yes booked SFO LHR TPA for $891 and 30000 Avios, flights a bit harder to find. Look for availability of lower fare seats with round trips, and then book the multicity.

I have a ticket I bought yesterday on BA.com. Instead of paying all cash for it I'd like to pay partly with Avios. I'm within the twenty four window. Is it still possible to pay with cash + avios?
|
How do you get the 30k avios option to show up? I have almost none, but can transfer from UR.

You can book a new fare paying cash plus avios at current prices and cancel the other ticket but you can't switch payment methods after booking. You can only apply avios now for an upgrade.

BA/oneworld US to Europe for ~$1.4k on Biz
Couldn't help myself and booked one more before the cutoff. A simple NYC-LHR for $837 rtn, (day flight BA0178, hooray!) Thank you OP!

This was because yesterday the total prices after the AARP discount were $900-1200 rt on many routes, so with the Avios 30k = $767 discount it went down to $250-450 final price.
There is also someone who claimed up thread that they booked $700+ roundtrips after the AARP, so had that person actually had and used 30k avios, they would have paid nothing for the ticket. However, these prices are now long gone. In my experience, the really cheap prices were only available for a 3-hour window around noon yesterday. |
Is anyone else seeing that Avios are now topping out at 7500 for a $75 discount? I've tried multiple browsers, and that's all I'm getting...

I don't understand why everyone is so quick to burn the 30k Avios on this deal. Doesn't seem like a good redemption value to me at all.
I personally trade in 60k Chase UR to Avios, and will be turning it into 106,000 AAdvantage miles. Great deal. |

That is what I'm seeing too. Not going to bite if that's the case. But I have almost no avios. I don't want to xfer 30K in and find out it's max 7500 for $75.
