Hey all, any suggestions for doing this domestically?

I'm sitting at about 26,600 PQMs. My original TPAC in paid F would have put me over, but I ended up not making that trip. The good news: I have a bunch of AA credit.

However, I need to do a strictly domestic run. Can't do international without it being a PITA for work, and besides, I need to renew my passport anyway. Typically, I take a weekend run to ANC. That will get me most of the way there (about 20K PQMs for BWI-ANC-BWI, depending on routing). I'd like to do it all in a weekend.

Best I'm able to come up with is something like BWI-PHL-PHX-ANC-PHX-PHL-BWI, but it doesn't always price out well.

So here are my requirements:

• Prefer to leave BWI (close to home, and wife could drop me off), but could leave IAD/DCA
• Domestic only
• Doable in a weekend (could do late Friday to Sunday) between mid Oct and December
• Discounted F (for 2x EQPs)
• As close to 24k EQPs as possible

Hopefully, I'll get lucky and my TPAC will get rescheduled, but who knows at this point.

Any help is appreciated!

F class only gets 1.5x EQP. Am I missing something?

AA has a promo where discount F and C tickets get 2x EQP, while full fare F and J tickets get 3x EQP. Good until the end of the year. Valid on all US/AA flights and certain AA codeshares with OW partners.

Actually, if that's 22k base miles, it'll be 44k EQPs due to the I and A buckets.

Do those 2x EQP count towards a challenge as well? Or would only the 1.5X points be recorded for the challenge?

Domestic weekend: try BWI-PHL-LAX-SFO RT in E for about $275-300; 6802 base miles. Former is positioning flight for SFO-JFK-SJU Biz/First (lie-flat bed on the SFO-JFK legs) & about $765-$800 RT. End of Oct or mid Nov weekends & can also do LAX-JFK-SJU runs for slightly less miles/points. I did not factor in elite bonus or promos. Searchable on ITA, but route via JFK for most comfort/miles/points. Good luck.

Ok guys, give me a critique here. I think I found a domestic only MR that puts me at 23,400 EQPs with the 2x bonus, just a few over what I need.

Just to clarify first - EQPs still get a 500 minimum too, right? Lord I hope so.

Here's what I came up with (BWI-PHL-SJU-ORD-SFO-MIA-SJU-PHL-BWI) in F. Prices out at $1587 (a bit cheaper and more miles that my typical BWI-ANC run).

PHL-SJU and SJU-PHL both have the A330 lie-flats.

Thoughts?
